RETURN TO MECCA

X-clan Returns to Mecca with new CD

Brother J from the Clan but he's not a Wu Tanga..!! X-clan returns and its right on time. From Katrina, to 911, to the Amerikkkan Blackout with voting in Florida, Brother J speaks on it all. With the passing of Professor X last year, and Sugar Shaft in 1995, the X-clan team had to reup and reorganize. Adding members from the Dark Sun Riders Crew (Brother J's Solo CD in 96) DJ M.A.T.E. and Ultraman, the crew began moving forward by bringing in more producers.
'So, now we have Fat Jack in the house and we have DJ Orator and Pro Mic and Bean One; there's so many different cats, man, that are coming to contribute their energy that have wanted to contribute to conscious music and have never had the opportunity to do it on a real mantle.'- Brother J
The album does not disappoint, with artists like YZ, RBX, Damian Marley, KRS 1, Chali 2na (Jurrasic5), Abstract Rude, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, and Brad X of Kottonmouth Kings. Be sure to also check out the cut 'Brother, Brother' produced by Dj Quik.. oops he dropped the Dj... by Quik. Check their site for more info and media. News is with working with Suburban Noize Records, Brother J will be able to bring exposure to new conscious artist to hit the scene. Check ya local listings for when X-clan pulls up to your town in a pink caddy. The currently are on tour with Public Enemy..... check out the clips from the San Fransico show attended by yours truely and CLG ...To the East Blackwards.....

Attacks on Black Revolutionairy Leaders Continue into Old Age

8 men arrested over 1971 death

San Francisco authorities have arrested over 8 men in connection with the murder of Sgt. John V. Young. Young was killed after an attack at an San Francisco police station. These men are being blamed for that crime and being in connection with a bombing of a police funeral in San Francisco and the slayings of two New York City police officers, as well as three armed bank robberies. Murder and conspiracy charges were filed against Ray Michael Boudreaux, 64, of Altadena; Richard Brown, 65, of San Francisco; Herman Bell, 59, and Anthony Bottom, 55, both behind bars in New York state; Henry Watson Jones, 71, of Altadena; Francisco Torres, 58, of New York City; and Harold Taylor, 58, of Panama City, Fla. These arrests are a continuing assault on leaders and fighters of Black America. Documents, testimony and government agents have attested for the work of Cointelpro. Cointelpro was and IS a government agency devised to destroy, desrupt and kill of leaders of the Black Community. These attacks have been done using many falsehoods, informants, and other counterinsurgency tactics. Should the American public believe these new charges, knowing the government has worked with the KKK, and other groups to create deaths and fake cases based on fake evidence, and fake testimony, to kill off the 'rise of a Black Messiah'. Why are these cases comming to court now? To continue the attack on the black phsyce, to continue the work of Cointlepro and set an example to those who oppose the government, and worldwide oppression. In opposition and solidarity with those that fight oppression we bring you .. The War on Black America.

Hip Hop Resurrects MLK

Full 'I Have a Dream' Speech - Martin Luther King Jr. Aug 28, 1963

The attack on Eyes on the Prize..

Boondocks tribute..

Common 'I Have a Dream'

Martin Luther King Jr. Dies in Vancouver B.C. at 91 years old

.. that headline taken from a classic Boondocks episode tells it all.. With the help of Aaron McGruder MLK Jr. was brought to life in a controversial and classic episode where King is not dead, but alive and upset with Black people in the current state of Amerikkka. What would King think, what would he do if he was alive to witness us today?? It is ironic that a Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial is planned on the National Mall when this same nation is still opressing people of color worldwide... makes you ponder the episode more.. doesnt it..? Find the "Return of the King" episode at your local DVD dealer. ...
Will.I.Am and Common bring the echos of King and his essence on the new track 'I Have a Dream,' on the Freedom Writers Soundtrack.
